Position Overview:


CGX Virtual Solutions is seeking a creative and skilled
Video Editor & Production Specialist to join our team. This remote position will be responsible for editing and producing high-quality video content for a variety of projects, including marketing campaigns, social media posts, tutorials, and client presentations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video editing, an eye for detail, and a passion for storytelling. You will work closely with the marketing and content teams to create visually engaging content that aligns with our brand’s goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Video Editing:

Edit and assemble raw footage into polished video content, ensuring smooth transitions, high-quality visuals, and consistent audio. Work on various types of video content, including promotional videos, product demos, social media posts, webinars, and client-facing videos.

  • Video Production:

Assist in the full production process, including pre-production planning, shooting (if applicable), editing, and post-production. Ensure video content aligns with brand standards, objectives, and target audience.

  • Content Creation & Enhancement:

Add effects, graphics, and animations to videos to enhance storytelling and improve viewer engagement. Create thumbnails and other visual assets for video promotion.

  • Collaboration with Teams:

Work closely with the marketing, sales, and design teams to understand project requirements, target audience, and desired outcomes. Collaborate to ensure video content aligns with the broader marketing strategy and business goals.

  • Post-Production:

Apply color correction, sound editing, and visual effects to ensure videos are polished and professional. Maintain high standards of video quality.

  • Asset Management:

Organize, store, and manage video files, ensuring they are easily accessible and properly archived. Ensure all video content is produced and delivered on schedule.

  • Optimization for Platforms:

Edit videos optimized for various platforms, including YouTube, social media, websites, and internal presentations. Ensure videos are properly formatted, sized, and ready for upload.

Qualifications:

Experience & Education:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in video editing and production.

  • A degree in Film Production, Multimedia Arts, or a related field is preferred, but not required.

  • Proven experience creating engaging video content for digital platforms (social media, websites, etc.).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).

  • Strong knowledge of video production techniques and post-production processes.

  • Experience with motion graphics and Adobe After Effects is a plus.

  • Ability to create engaging, visually appealing video content and apply creative edits.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines while working independently.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate remotely with teams.

Language Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both written and verbal.

Additional Requirements

  • A government form of ID, such as a Passport or Visa, is required to be considered for this position, or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of commencing work.

Compensation:

  • Compensation will depend on experience and will be determined at the time of the job offer.
